Baked Pears with Mrs Bell’s Blue & Honey

These baked pears with Mrs Bell’s Blue and honey are as delicious to eat as they are to look at! The creamy Mrs Bell’s Blue combines beautifully with the sweetness of the pears and honey, with the walnuts delivering the perfect crunch.
Baked Pears with Mrs Bell’s Blue & Honey Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 ripe but not too soft pears
- 30g runny honey plus extra to serve
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 100g Mrs Bell’s Blue Cheese
- Handful of roughly chopped walnuts, to garnish
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C or 390 °F.
- Cut the pears in half and scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon. Place the halves cut-side up on a baking tray and drizzle with honey.
- Place thyme on top of each and bake for 10 minutes or until the flesh is soft when pierced with a fork.
- Place a teaspoon of the Mrs Bell’s Blue into each of the pears. Garnish with the chopped walnuts and drizzle with more honey if desired. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Return to the oven for a couple of minutes until the cheese is slightly melted.
- Drizzle over a little more honey and serve immediately
Notes
Tips: You can serve these baked pears with cheese both warm and cold. If you don’t want your cheese to melt, wait until the pears are cooled down completely before stuffing them with blue cheese.PRODUCTS USED IN THIS RECIPE
