They thought we were bonkers. Yet the unlikely pairing of cheese and lavender makes a mind-blowingly delicious cheese.

Made with ewes’ milk, we roll the cheese in dried lavender flowers. Left to mature over a number of weeks, the delicate lavender flavour infuses the creamy, crumbly cheese to stunning effect. It launched in 2003 and with its unique balance of flavour, Katy’s White Lavender is fantastic on any cheese board and delightful in salads too.

I shared the love this Christmas

Everyone I gift at Christmas got a Katy's White Lavender in their boxes this year, so I had to wait until the reviews came back in, all of which were favourable.
Of course there's a solid place for this cheese on a cheese board, but for me and I shared this recipe with a few others, it goes delishly in a salad stuffed pitta, topped with pulled lamb, flash fried red onion, cherry tomatoes and seedless red grapes. Flavour beyond flavour!

White Lavender

Whilst this was good, it was not entirely to my taste (My fault, not yours). I bought this at the same time as the Yorkshire Blue & Mrs Bell's Blue. I thought they were both marvellous. I didn't like tis as much.

As usual all the cheeses were very tasty, thank you from a happy 80yr old.
