Caroline Receives Royal Invitation To The King's Garden Party At Buckingham Palace

The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May, 2023. The Service will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and we’ll be watching from the farm with friends and family.

After the weekend, on Tuesday 9th, our very own Caroline has the honour of attending one the King’s Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace. She has been invited via her role on the board of the Speciality Cheesemakers Association and will be attending alongside David Lockwood from Neal’s Yard Dairy, a fellow member of the board.

King Charles III has played a vital role in supporting British cheese makers over many years, not least as the patron of the Specialist Cheesemakers Association. During his trip to our friends at Lyner Dairies last year, he shared with the team “As patron of the Specialist Cheesemakers Association, I could not be more proud of you all.”

Caroline met King Charles III last November at Morrisons, after being asked to be a representative for local suppliers.

It’s not the first time our cheese has been sampled by royalty. Mum first met King Charles when he was a Prince at the Great Yorkshire Show in the early 90’s and met his Royal Highness on a number occasions since.

Caroline is delighted to be invited to the King’s Garden Party and is very proud to be representing speciality cheese makers from all over the UK & Ireland.
